Maureen is a practising Solicitor working as a Consultant Solicitor through The Legal Consultant to provide specialist legal assistance in Regulatory Law, Licensing Law, Employment Law and Immigration Law to Businesses and professionals. She works as a Consultant to Law firms on a fee-sharing basis, this means that any instructions taken and serviced on behalf of any of the Law Firms with will be covered under the Law Firm’s Professional Indemnity Insurance.
The company was started to provide a bespoke legal service in collaboration with Law Firms to businesses whether small or large. It is not a ‘one size fits all’. Meetings can be set up with any business at the business premises to ascertain what their particular needs are and tailor the legal services to suit the business.
Maureen has extensive experience in these areas of Law, having prosecuted for Local Authorities, Regulatory bodies and Central Government bodies, therefore is able to use her experience and knowledge of Local Government Law to assist her business clients.
Maureen originally trained as a Barrister in 1999 and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2000 by Middle Temple Inn. She worked as an Employed Barrister and Legal Adviser in the Magistrates’ Court for a period of 5.5 years and before that as an In- house Lawyer for an International Travel company in London advising on Personal Injury and Breach of Contract claims.
Maureen re-qualified as a Solicitor in 2005 and was admitted to the Solicitors’ Roll in 2006.
